His tenure as the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) from 2013 to 2019 was marked by strategic leadership and decisive action in navigating Ohio through pivotal energy policy challenges. His contributions were instrumental in shaping Ohio’s energy landscape, particularly in areas such as compliance with the Clean Power Plan and modernization of the distribution grid.

In 2019, Asim embarked on a new chapter in his career, joining PJM Interconnection as Senior Vice President of Governmental and Member Services. In this role, he oversees State Government Policy, State Policy Solutions, and Member Services, playing a pivotal role in engaging with state governments, legislative bodies, and security agencies.
